Whether due to nurture or nature some people are just better at waking up early than others, I am not one of those people.
I mentioned in a previous post that I am a fan of motivational videos and more specifically positive thinking (I was that person who would send the whole office an inspirational quote via email and get zero replies). I am fully aware of the benefits of an early start when it comes to motivation: you get more done, you are able to plan more effectively and you have a general head start on the day.
With this in mind I have decided to include a 5.00am start to my daily routine.
A recent Youtube binge on the subject took me to the following interesting videos:
And this one:
Both talk about the benefits of getting up early. Unsurprisingly it doesn’t look easy, but both are clear on the fact that the secret is in your nighttime routine – including getting to bed early.
For the next two weeks I intend to get to bed by 9.00 and be up by 5.00am, recording the benefits and drawbacks for an upcoming post. I will let you all know how I get on – if I have the energy to type!
Wish me luck.
