We all aim to be masters of seduction when it comes to Valentines Day and thanks to Glo & Ray Cosmetics, we may all just achieve that this year. By Neal Dakota

Since trying Glo & Ray, I have to say that they have a great range of products. I was sent the Creamy Matte Lip Colour in Venus (a nude peach colour) and Creamy Shimmer Lip Colour in Mysterious (a darker vampy red). The lipsticks came in professional looking, sleek black and white packaging – they retail at £12 each.

Glo and Ray packaging

Glo and Ray Nude lipstickI prepared my models lips with a lip exfoliator and used a nude lip liner to prevent the lipstick from bleeding. Venus applied like a stick of butter, it was so luxurious and was as smooth as caramel. The colour pay-off was slightly sheerer than I was expecting – great for fairer skin but if the coverage was a little more full, it could wash out certain skin tones. Although Venus was a beautiful shade, I was expecting more of a matte finish –  due to the buttery consistency, it had a more dewy finish (this is probably due to the fact that lipsticks in this collection include a deep moisturising lip balm!)

Again, the application was absolutely effortless and the colour pay-off, brilliant. I would describe the colour as a vampy raspberry with sparkles of reflex throughout, this lipstick definitely gives the illusion of plumper, pouty lips. The coverage is buildable in layers if you want to achieve a fuller coverage.

The lipsticks lasted a couple of hours on my model and didn’t bleed or budge – fantastic! As with any lipsticks, I’d suggest keeping this one in your purse or close by for touch ups.

Golden and bronze tones have been mixed with reflex glitter pigment, this eyeliner is great at lining the eyes to create depth and catch the light, after all ‘the eyes are the windows to our soul.’

The first thing I noticed about this pencil was the consistency. Again, incredibly creamy just like the lipsticks and great staying power, this eyeliner will not budge!

Eyeliner on skinThis is a pencil with longevity, however you will have to work quickly as it sets fast.

So there you have it, Glo & Ray are definitely a cosmetics brand to keep in mind for Valentines Day. If you want to achieve that sultry, smitten look, why not spend the day with Glo & Ray!
