Established India, London Bridge

Good food, is good food.  Whether you are eating it surrounded by white tablecloths, fine china and clinking crystal glasses or out of a paper bag, purchased from a street vendor. There is something nourishing and life affirming about a delicious food experience – it reminds you that the simple things in life are always the best.

Quality:

Est.India is a restaurant that offers delicious street food in stylish, yet relaxed surroundings. With a harmonious blend of spices and ingredients in every dish, Est.India clearly put the emphasis on flavour. Every dish is a celebration of Indian cooking with influences from across the subcontinent. From the delicious paneer, fish curry and heavenly parathas to the refreshingly sweet mango lassi, this restaurant is a foody’s paradise. There are a choice of small dishes which are highly recommended – get as many as you can, as each will have your taste buds in a frenzy.

Customer Service:

No sooner had we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by two waiters who took our coats and showed us to our seats. I love a restaurant with booths, they are much more intimate and I find myself worrying less about whether I am being observed as I enjoy my food. Plate after plate was delivered to our table, with a waiter always on hand to ask whether we wanted anything else. The staff at Est.India have learnt to strike just the right balance between attentive yet discrete service.

Accessibility:

Although based in London Bridge, Est.India is a good 10-15 minute walk from London Bridge station.  Yes, you don’t get the hustle and bustle of the main road traffic and commuters, but on the other hand  if you are looking for somewhere to eat after a night out in the area, you could forget that Est.India is actually there. The restaurant itself has good lighting and the toilets are on the ground floor.

Price: Value for money.
